Djarot Now Officially Jakarta Vice Governor

Former Blitar Mayor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, is finally inaugurated as Jakarta Vice Governor, Wednesday (12/17). He becomes the first vice governor inaugurated by the governor in accordance to Government Regulation No. 1/2014 on Regonal Head Election.

I hereby officially inaugurate Djarot Saiful Hidayat as Jakarta Vice Governor for remaining term of 2012-2017 according to President Decree No. 144/P/2014

About 350 invitations attend Djarot’s inauguration. Among them are former Indonesia President Megawati Sukarnoputri, City Council (DPRD) Chairman Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, and council members. They filled all seats arranged at City Hall’s Balai Agung and balcony.

The inauguration begins at 1.15 PM, marked with Djarot’s appointment decision materials reading by Head of Jakarta Personnel Board (BKD) I Made Karmayoga. His appointment is in accordance with President Decree No. 144/P/2014 on Jakarta Vice Governor Appointment for Term 2012-2017. After the reading, Jakarta Governor Basuki ‘Ahok’ T Purnama inaugurates his vice.

“I hereby officially inaugurate Djarot Saiful Hidayat as Jakarta Vice Governor for remaining term of 2012-2017 according to President Decree No. 144/P/2014. I believe that you will do your tasks as well as possible according to the mandate given,” said Ahok.

Afterwards, Djaort signed the integrity pact and then Ahok put the office insignia batch on Djarot’s all-white Ceremony Official Apparel (PDU).
